Rebecca Winokur, MD, MPH, Medical Director Health Equity and Lead Physician Executive, Oracle Cerner
Dr. Winokur is the Medical Director for Health Equity and Lead Physician Executive for Oracle Health. In her role, she provides clinical oversight to Oracle Cerner’s health equity strategy and roadmap, as well as industry thought leadership. She has presented in numerous venues on the topic of health equity, both at the national and local levels and has published many thought pieces. She is a subject matter expert in several areas of health equity including ethical AI, data integrity, patient safety and quality, equitable clinical workflows, bias, the patient experience, and community partnerships.
In addition to her health equity role, she works with Oracle Cerner’s client physician leaders to get the most value out of their health information system to advance their clinical and financial imperatives. Dr. Winokur is also a subject matter expert in clinical documentation and condition management and she sits on two committees in Oracle Cerner’s Patient Safety and High-Reliability Organization as well as Oracle Cerner’s Charitable Foundation Clinical Decision Committee.
Prior to joining Oracle Cerner, Dr. Winokur received her Master of Public Health degree at George Washington University Milken Institute for Public Health with honors and completed a fellowship with the United Nations Foundation Digital Impact Alliance where she focused on applying lessons learned from inequities in global childhood vaccine distribution to digital health solutions in low income countries. Before graduate school, she led the clinical solution strategy for a health informatics vendor and has served on the Board of Directors for Wide Horizons For Children in Boston, Massachusetts. She is an active advocate for equity in her community, serving on the Equity Subcommittee for her local school board. Dr. Winokur received her medical degree and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
